PMP accreditation (PMI PMP/CAPM)

PMP (Project Management Professional) is a certificate of American Project Management Association PMI

To enter the PMP exam you must have

  • secondary education and 7500 hours of work on runnung and managing projects and 5 years of work experience in project management
  • college or university degree and 4500 hours of work on running and managing projects and 3 years of experience in project management

In addition to the above mentioned you sholud gather 35 hours of education in the field of project management. One of the ways to gather hours of education is to attend educational seminars in this field, which can be proven by providing certificates issued by the part of seminar organizers (PMI Registered Educaitonal Provider – R.E.P., faculties and schools, consulting companies…).

After fulfilling the above mentioned conditions, it is possible to register for the exam through web site.

(PMI Continuing Certification Requirements (CCR) Programme)

Purpose of the PMI CCR Programme is:

  • Improvement of the current professional development of PMP certificate holders
  • encourages and recognizes induvidualized learning possibilities
  • provides a standardized and objective mechanism of collecting and recording of professional development activities and,
  • Maintains the PMP certificate as a globally recognizable accreditation

Each PMP certificate holder has to meet the PMP CCR programme criteria in order to maintain the PMP accreditation. PMP certificate holders must gather at least 60 PDUs (Professional Development Units) in the three year cycle of accreditation validity.
